We have sat down with Frag Dominant Source player Casey "monsterz1" Larsen to get his thoughts on the upcoming season.
Thanks for taking the
time to do this, can you introduce yourself to the community who may not know
who you are.
Hello all I am Casey "monster" Larsen, I am 19
years old and live in
This being your first
season in the Pro division, what are the team's expectations?
We already picked up a win on legacy and I'm pretty confident we're going to have a great first season in the pro division.
With there being
people in the community doubting you ability and legitimacy of being moved up
how does the team plan on proving themselves?
We were season 3 open champions and were hoping for the invite then, we didn't get it instead the 2nd place team. The team didn't do so well in IM but with the new five we have now we finished 3-0 in the placement tournament and 2nd in Cevo Main. We believe we deserve the spot and plan on proving ourselves this season.
With the move up, how
does the team plan to adjust with the competition and how much more time do you
spend practicing and preparing?
While in Cevo and ESEA open, we didn't have a set practice schedule down and typically stuck to a few default strats and just adapted them to the other teams play style. We realize that won't work on the level we play on now. Everyone on the team has great ideas and plan on having a vigorous practice schedule to get them implemented.
Which, if any, events
do you plan on attending in the future, and what is the team focusing on as far
as improvements.
We plan on attending another Howies lan in southern
Any closing words or shoutouts
you would like to give?
I would like to wish all the other teams' good luck in their upcoming season and give a shoutout to all the FD staff and Orlando for all of their support.
We would like to thank Casey for his time on the interview, and wish Frag Dominant and all teams with the recent move up the best of luck. As always, stay tuned to Frag Dominant for the most up to date ESports news and notes.
